I have been working as a freelance photographer since 2005, and much of my work is as an overflow photographer for agencies. My customers include Triathlonphotos.com, Global-pix.com, Marathon-photos.com, Cumberland Newspaper Group, SMP Images, SportingImages, fusephotography, Australian Triathlete Magazine, SportShoot, MaxAdventure, and many private customers.
I pride myself on detailed preparation to produce the best images possible. I am fully digital, using Canon DSLR bodies and lenses. I have remote process and 3G transmission capabilities. I am fully insured with $5mil of public liability insurance. I use recent model PC servers and laptops, fully colour calibrated screens, and NAS RAID backups. I am fluent with Photo Mechanic and Photoshop CS4 for editing and IPTC Captioning. I use Elinchrom Ranger Quadra lights for studio and on-location assignments. These are complete with soft boxes, umbrellas, backdrops etc
I enjoy working primarily as a sport, and assignment photographer, capturing the emotion and drama sport provides. I am also as happy in the studio, or on location, shooting portraits of sports people where ever they work. In recent years, I have become a remote camera specialist. I have run up to 5 cameras at event finish lines, all linked to multiple Pocket Wizard transmitters to fire at specific time. I have developed an IR beam trigger for remote camera stations. These have work on a finish line completely unmanned for 8 hours.
